Build a culture of resilient trust.

OVERVIEW OF SERVICES

For leadership, HR and culture-focused teams:

  • Retreat facilitation for large or small groups - Content is customized around your theme and/or goals, and Andrea can be onsite with your team for 1 day or multiple days. Andrea will help you plan your retreat to center around the Mindful Improv Thinking framework if you desire, or will help plug in applicable content and exercises within your existing agenda.
  • Encouraging Change Training Day - This training equips participants to guide a group through change and to provide individual support to team members who may be particularly resistant to change. The training teaches evidence-based methods for decreasing rigidity and increasing alignment with the need for change, and provides practical skills and approaches for handling resistance, pushback and defensiveness during internal trainings or change-oriented meetings and conversations. This content can be delivered via two virtual 1/2 day trainings (live, not pre-recorded) or one full day in-person.
  • Encouraging Change Training Package - In addition to the training above, your group will also be supported with monthly group calls to reinforce training content and provide added support or clarification (with Andrea), they'll receive copies of both of Andrea's books as well as the Facilitator Guidebook filled with ideas for engagement and meaningful, trust-building discussion topics and a 20-hour coaching block (with CBC coaches)
  • Coaching - Our coaches provide 1:1 support and accountability for your staff as they work on implementing the brave communication techniques taught in our trainings and in Andrea's books. Our coaches are here to answer questions, provide a nonjudgmental listening ear, offer a fresh perspective and provide actionable plans for improving trust and collaboration through brave communication with peers, leaders, clients or other key relationships.
  • Books - Increase impact of staff training by providing every employee with a copy of the book you find most relevant and applicable to your environment. We're happy to make a recommendation if you're not sure which to choose!

“I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of being both an audience member for one of Andrea’s keynote presentations, as well as working alongside her for our company’s biggest annual conference.  Her unparalleled kindness, communication, commitment, creativity, humor, empathy, and authenticity are integrated seamlessly in everything she does.  Andrea has the amazing ability to communicate powerful and meaningful culture-driven strategies in a way that is relatable, entertaining, and heartfelt.  Anyone who is fortunate to connect with her will benefit personally and professionally.”

STAFF WIDE TRAINING SOLUTIONS

Let us help you build a thriving, healthy culture of resilient trust by teaching your people the skills they need in the moments that count the most!

THE RESILIENT CULTURE PACKAGE: This training package gives your team access to:
  • Each of our trainings, delivered live and in a building order (the content is arranged differently than if you were to purchase one of the trainings as a stand-alone). Here is the training order:
    • Introduction to the Framework - participants gain a fundamental understanding of the core skills and mindset shifts necessary for allowing moments of brave, vulnerable and/or difficult conversations to become critical trust building opportunities.
    • Laws of eMotion - participants learn Newton's Laws of Motion and how they pertain to emotional momentum as well. The'll learn how to anticipate other's emotional responses and pivot messaging accordingly.
    • Humor & Harassment - participants will gain a fresh perspective on harassment prevention and intervention. Unlike the tired copy/paste seminars full of legalese and frustratingly obvious scenario questions, this training addresses the source of many harassment complaints: failed attempts at humor. While it includes all necessary legal components to count toward mandated harassment training hours, it goes beyond preventing what is illegal and provides clear guidelines for using humor in a way that is honorable and appropriate for the workplace. Participants routinely express their gratitude for a harassment training that is human and "actually helpful!"
    • †Giving Difficult Feedback - participants will learn best practices for offering difficult feedback in a way that is receivable and growth-oriented. They'll also learn some of the basic skills taught in the Encouraging Change training for responding to resistance or pushback.
    • †Receiving Difficult Feedback - participants will learn heart-centered practices for receiving feedback with humility and curiosity; even when it hasn't been delivered with the optimal degree of consideration. They'll learn processes for responding effectively if they've been surprised by feedback, choosing a growth-mindset when sinking into a jar of peanut butter and hiding from the world feels a lot better, and moving forward with integrity.

TEAM BUILDING IMPROV WORKSHOPS

The Center for Brave Communication focuses exclusively on culture development through brave communication instruction and support. If you've partnered with us for consulting, staff training or retreat facilitation and Andrea is on-site with you for service provision, she will gladly include a 90-minute mindful improv team building experience for free if your schedule permits.

However, if you're looking exclusively for a team building workshop or for ways to incorporate improv into your sales training or professional development plan in ways unrelated to brave communication - we will gladly point you in the direction of our growing network of partner comedy theaters.
